Our splashbacks are made from 6mm toughened clear glass with polished edges and arrive ready to install.
The protective backing on the reverse forms part of the finished splashback and should not be removed.
Our 6mm toughened glass splashbacks are designed for use behind domestic gas and electric hobs and cookers.
Always follow the clearance requirements specified by the appliance manufacturer, particularly around gas burners and high-heat appliances.
Before fitting, check that the wall surface is relatively even and free of any large bumps and hollows. The wall does not have to be perfectly even: a little extra adhesive can be added in hollow areas, and less where there is a slight bump.
Lay the splashback glossy side down on a towel or blanket. Using a neutral clear low-modulus solvent-free silicone (also known as mirror adhesive), squeeze out equally sized blobs roughly 20mm in diameter and about 100mm apart. Do not put blobs too close to the edge, as the silicone may squeeze out.
Lift into position and press the glass against the wall, applying equal pressure across the panel. If any area feels uneven or bouncy when pressed, remove the glass and apply a little more adhesive to that section before lifting it into place again.
After waiting, run a bead of silicone all around the edge. With a little spray of warm soapy water, run a finger over the silicone to take away the excess and create an even seal.
Clean the glass with warm soapy water or a normal household glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
Avoid abrasive pads, scourers and harsh cleaning products, as these can mark the surface.

Most splashback orders arrive around two weeks after the design and size are confirmed. Splashbacks are produced to order, so please allow enough time before booking installers or other trades.
