Quiet and grounding or bold and botanical — green has far more range than one neat little swatch suggests.

There is more than one way to go green

Green can make a room feel calm, grounded and connected to the outdoors — but it can also be rich, dramatic and full of character.

Sage and silvery greens create a softer, more relaxed backdrop. Olive and moss bring warmth and work particularly well with natural materials. Teal adds depth and energy, while bottle and forest greens give a room a stronger, more luxurious edge.

Add pattern and the colour becomes even more expressive: heritage geometrics feel established and architectural, while stars, checkerboards and contemporary shapes make green feel fresh and unexpected.

Find your green — or create it

Our existing green colourways are only the beginning. Most designs can be adjusted in colour, scale and direction as part of our service.

Send us a paint reference, Pantone reference, hex code, fabric sample or photograph and we will adapt the palette as closely as the flooring material and production process allow.

You might turn a bright green into a dusty sage, warm a cool teal with more olive, or replace one colour within a multicoloured pattern while keeping everything else exactly as it is.

The pattern scale can also be changed. Larger repeats often feel cleaner and more graphic, while smaller repeats introduce more rhythm and detail.

Where does green patterned flooring work?

Bathrooms and cloakrooms

Sage, teal and deeper greens work beautifully with white sanitaryware, brass fittings, timber and natural stone. In compact rooms, green brings colour without feeling frivolous, and a patterned floor can give the whole space a stronger sense of purpose.

Kitchens and utility rooms

Green flooring works with painted cabinetry, pale wood, darker timber and warm metal finishes. Olive and moss shades feel particularly at home alongside cream, stone and natural textures.

Hallways and entrances

Green can make a hallway feel connected to the rooms beyond it, especially where plants, garden views or timber furniture are already part of the scheme. A geometric pattern gives narrower spaces definition and movement.

Bedrooms, studios and home offices

Softer greens feel restful without becoming bland. For more energy, choose a brighter palette or a pattern with contrasting pink, ochre, blue or cream.

What colours work with green flooring?

Green is one of the easiest colours to build a room around. Strong combinations include:

  • Green and pink for a playful but balanced contrast.
  • Green and warm white for a clean, relaxed scheme.
  • Green and ochre for warmth and depth.
  • Green and navy for a richer, more cocooning palette.
  • Green and terracotta for an earthy, sun-warmed feel.
  • Green with timber and brass for natural warmth.

A green floor can act as the room’s main colour or work as a surprisingly versatile backdrop. The key is choosing the shade and pattern contrast that suit the mood you want.

Beautifully green. Properly practical.

Our flooring is a 2.6mm cushioned sheet vinyl with an R10 anti-slip rating. It is phthalate-free, Allergy UK approved and contains 20% recycled content.

Panels are available up to 2.9 metres wide, free UK samples are available and most orders are produced in around two weeks from final proof approval. Explore flooring by colour or browse all our patterned vinyl flooring.

From quiet sage to no-apologies bright and bold green, the final colour is yours to shape.

Green Vinyl Flooring – FAQs

Can I change a design to sage, olive or teal?

Yes. Most designs can be adapted using sage, olive, moss, pistachio, teal, bottle green or another shade chosen for your room. Send us a paint reference, Pantone reference, hex code or visual example and we will match it as closely as the flooring material and production process allow.

Is green vinyl flooring suitable for bathrooms and kitchens?

Yes. Our patterned sheet vinyl is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms and utility rooms when correctly fitted over a clean, flat and dry subfloor. It has an R10 anti-slip rating, and panels up to 2.9 metres wide mean many smaller rooms can be supplied in one piece.

What colours go with green flooring?

Green works well with pink, cream, warm white, ochre, terracotta, navy and natural wood. Sage and olive tend to create softer schemes, while teal and deep forest green can take stronger contrasting colours.

Which shade of green works best in a small room?

There is no rule that says a small room must use pale green. Sage and softer greens can feel calm and airy, but a deeper green can make a cloakroom or bathroom feel rich and intentional. Pattern scale, contrast and the amount of natural light are equally important.

Can the scale of a green flooring pattern be changed?

Yes. Most patterns can be made larger or smaller before production. We show the chosen scale in your proof, and an A4 crop at 1:1 scale can be provided so you can check it in the room.

Can I order a green flooring sample first?

Yes. Free samples are available to UK customers from each product page, and international samples are available for the cost of postage. Samples show the material, colour and texture, although the pattern scale may differ from the finished floor.
