Questions about our products? You’ve come to the right place.

General

Our production facility and design team can deal with anything you may want to throw at us! Email over to introduce yourself and we’re sure we can look to help with your next project.

No problem at all – contact us with any enquiry. Images need ideally to be of a certain resolution depending on the final size needed but we can let you know the details.

We can use a paint manufacturer's chips, tiles or whatever info you give us to help get our colours closer to your vision but with the product differences between our flooring and matte paint cards etc plus different lighting conditions, it's just not possible to guarantee a 100% match with any of our products.

We've always been close when matching and we will do all we can to get as close as possible to your colours but if it is super critical, please understand what's achievable with current print technologies on completely different substrates. The colours reproduced in our textured flooring will never look exactly the same as a matte emulsion.
As you'd expect with a complete bespoke service, any custom colourway or scale change is non-returnable or refundable unless faulty. If you'd like a sample producing first, just let us know all the info and allow up to three weeks.

All orders are shipped in between one and two weeks after you've checked the proofs and let us know all is okay.

When booking in fitters, leave plenty of time for your flooring to arrive safely before your fitter is booked.
Delivery delays and unexpected mix-ups can sometimes happen. Flooring also preferably needs time to acclimatise before it’s fitted so adding in time between delivery and fitting is important.
Please note we are not liable for any costs incurred if you have booked a fitter and there is an issue with receipt of your flooring.

Everything is checked, packed securely and checked again when it leaves us and we expect it to arrive in perfect condition when it lands at your door. For any obvious issues, please either refuse the delivery or sign as ‘damaged’ and get in touch with us as soon as possible at customer.help@forthefloorandmore.com.

Our deliveries are always charged ‘per shipment’ which means if you order a few different items, we will only charge once for the heaviest or biggest product.
For example, if you order three tiles with a floorcovering, the delivery cost will only be the cost for the flooring. A splashback and wallpaper? You only pay the shipping cost for the splashback.

Delivery is by courier which limits us to weekdays only as standard. If you can only receive your delivery at a weekend, email us and we’ll see if we can produce and ship in time.

Floorcoverings

Yes, scroll down whichever flooring pattern page has caught your eye, and you'll see a sample request box under the images. Pop your full address in there and we'll post it out for you.
If you need multiple samples, either copy and paste your address into each box or just add your name. As long as one of your requests has your full address, we'll work it out.
UK samples are totally free, and for international samples, we charge for the postage. If outside the UK, we'll follow up after your request has been submitted.

Our system doesn't currently email a notification to confirm that your request has been accepted, but trust us, if it has your name and full address, it will be sent out within two days of your request. We do use second-class post, and the mail does seem to be taking a little longer lately, but they shouldn't take too long to land on your doormat.

We often 'shrink' the designs to fit more into the sample squares and use the scale from the website image with the feet for the initial proofs, unless requested otherwise.
There's more info here on what we provide to help with the scale.

Since 2016, we have supplied our flooring for use in TV shows including DIY SOS, Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping, Sarah Beeny's record vinyl flooring ( Google Sarah Beeny vinyl ) and a number of bespoke designs for her home in New Life in the Country.

Our flooring base is 2.6mm thick with all our flooring hypo-allergenic, phthalate-free, containing a minimum of 20% recycled content and R10 anti-slip rated for extra peace of mind. The vinyl base datasheet is here .

We use specially developed durable inks that impregnate the vinyl, and then we overprint a UV layer that cures the designs to the base flooring.
We have used this same process for over ten years and have completed projects for both residential and commercial customers - some of them can be seen here.

There's a helpful guide here to help out.

The way we work means that you do not need to purchase more than your room requires. We do not force you to order the full width of the roll.
We are committed to keeping waste to a minimum. We use all our off-cuts of plain vinyl base to produce our free-of-charge samples.

Simply pop in your room’s width and length into the calculator. The panels we produce will be as per your dimensions so make sure you’re giving it a little extra if needed. We can’t be held responsible if you’ve incorrectly sized up. If you’re unsure, get a professional in who can also fit and ask them for size advice. We will always email you a proof prior to production showing the complete image you’ll receive – keep this image as its always a good reference point when installing.

Depending on floor size, our floorcoverings are supplied rolled up and in multiple panels. The maximum size of a single panel is 2.9 x 20m and trimmed by us for you to fit in place.
If your space needs more than one panel, we add a 50mm pattern overlap along the adjoining edges to help with aligning when fitting. This extra will be trimmed way during installation.

Firstly, fall in love with one of our designs (or contact us if you need something a little different), then peel your eyes away from the screen and measure up your floor. We need the length and width to work out the amount of floorcovering needed.
Once you’ve let us know your size and completed checkout, we will then send over a proof for you to check before we produce it. This aids in seeing how the image needs to be cropped or resized if it’s one design – with patterns it’s pretty much good to go!

Until you've approved the pattern proofs, the order can be changed at no cost. Need to see a different scale?  Just let us know. Picked a different design? Again, email us back so we can amend and create new proofs.
Your order when placed and on our system puts you in the production queue but until approved, we can always change things around if needed.

After everything is approved and the ok given, the big green button is pushed in production and the machines start to hum into action to make your new flooring. Expect delivery in around 2 weeks.

Full guides are available by clicking here – if you’re a competent DIYer then it should be no issue, if not we would always recommend asking a professional to fit.
Always lay the product out when received – not only to check for damage or discrepancy – but to line it up and work out what goes where. When you feel comfortable and you’ve measured up then move on to fit in place securing with a solvent-free vinyl flooring adhesive or double-sided flooring tape.

Our flooring is suitable for use over underfloor heating. If you need any more info, ping over an email and we can forward installation details.

Our flooring is designed to cope with normal household cleaning.

To keep your floor looking its best, we recommend:
Warm water mixed with a multipurpose floor cleaner (nothing abrasive or bleach-based)
A soft-to-medium bristle scrubbing brush (avoid very stiff bristles, which are unnecessary)
Light scrubbing over the textured areas to lift dirt from the dimples
An occasional deeper clean if the space is high-traffic or prone to splashes

Avoid aggressive scrubbing at one area, especially when dry or with abrasive products. For tougher marks, use a damp cloth or mop, a suitable non-abrasive cleaner, and light agitation with a soft-to-medium brush if needed.
Do not use bleach, anything with solvents, an abrasive cleaner or an abrasive cloth. Again, avoid scrubbing with a dry cloth or wipe, as it can leave flat spots or colour rub, and as with any vinyl flooring, sharp objects or anything dragged across it will cause marks and scratches.

Like all flooring ( and most things around the home... ), keeping on top of daily dirt is the difference between a floor that stays pristine for years or one that with a build-up can be more time-consuming to clean.
Don't leave it until it's covered in grime before giving it a spruce up as the texture will need a good scrub to get it back to it's best. If fully grubby, a bristle-y synthetic type scrubbing brush will work wonders coupled with a multi-purpose floor or surface cleaner, just make sure it's diluted as described for floors.

For more information, please check out our Quick Reference Guide here .

Even though every flooring we produce is bespoke to your room and cannot be resold, we want you to be happy with your purchase.
We are an independent, innovative company (definitely not like the big box stores on the retail parks!) doing flooring and home decor differently yet we do offer a 30-day full refund policy. Our flooring base is produced exclusively for us by one of Europe's largest vinyl manufacturers and has a 5-year guarantee against defects. This policy does not cover any custom domestic or commercial orders and we cannot refund any other costs incurred, including but not limited to return shipping charges or any installation costs.

A bit of common sense: Protect your floor while work is still happening
Please do not drag ladders, appliances, furniture, tools or boxes across the flooring.
If anything needs to be moved across the floor, or decorating is still underway, please protect the surface first with a suitable barrier.
Scratches, scuffs, scrape marks or drag marks caused during or after installation are not a product fault. Damage caused by trying to remove those marks with abrasive pads, scourers, harsh scrubbing or unsuitable cleaning products also cannot be accepted as a fault.

Protect your flooring while the room is still in progress, and it’ll be ready to look its best once everything else is finished.

If something we've supplied is not as expected, talk to us. When we say we're not like the big box stores, it's not just the designs, it's also the service you should expect – we will do all we can to put it right.

If you're just not getting along with your new floor, email us at customer.help@forthefloorandmore.com so we know and can help out.

Although we know our flooring has been used for retail, leisure and commercial applications, our flooring has all the properties of a vinyl product primarily designed for medium-traffic domestic use. If you're looking for the guaranteed durability of concrete, please keep looking.
If you need more information, ask for the datasheets. Need samples to use and abuse? Fill in a request box and be our guest in beating up our vinyl.
Please be aware that by ordering our vinyl flooring for any commercial project, you are committing to the fact that you are satisfied that it will fulfil your requirements and, unless the product is deemed faulty - we would need samples supplying clearly showing the issue to ascertain any fault - no subsequent claim will be agreed.
If you decide on a light coloured flooring and are expecting a heavy and constant commercial footfall and your bespoke floor gets dirty, please be fair and don't expect us to acknowledge this as a fault.

With any supplied custom commercial file, it is your responsibility to ensure it's sized correctly and any discrepancy must be notified within 24 hours of delivery. We will always endeavour to sort out issues but we will not be responsible for any error and will not pay any additional installation fees incurred.

Wallpapers

We only use what we believe are the toughest, most durable non-woven wallpapers available. After extensive testing, we settled on a 350gsm for both the smooth velvet and the fine-grain textured wallcovering – this is the best possible material at a weight which others call their deluxe version and charge a premium, but which we’ve called our standard grade.
The wallpapers are wipe clean, water resistant, and, of particular importance to commercial applications, fire retardant and anti-bacterial. A great specification for a fabulous wallcovering which also looks super vibrant with colours that really pop!

Pop your wall’s width and height into the calculator. The panels we produce will always be a little wider and longer than required for ease of trimming but make sure you’re also giving it a little extra.

We can’t be held responsible if you’ve incorrectly sized up - if you’re unsure, get the help of a professional in who can also hang the wallpaper for you. We will always email you a proof prior to production showing the complete image you’ll receive – keep this image as its always a good reference point when installing.

All our wall murals and papers are supplied in panels at 1000mm wide with an overlap that is trimmed in place when on the wall. They’ll turn up in strong cardboard tubes or boxes and well packaged to stop any transit damage.
The width and length will be determined by the sizes given in the calculator on ordering and we’ll supply over to help with trimming and sizing on uneven walls. Please also make sure you give yourself some extra when entering the dimensions.

Firstly, fall in love with one of our designs (or contact us if you need something a little different), then peel your eyes away from the screen and measure up the chosen wall. We need the height and width to work out the amount of wallcovering needed.
Once you’ve let us know your size and completed checkout, we will then send over a proof for you to check before we produce it. This aids in seeing how the image needs to be cropped if it’s one design – with patterns it’s pretty much good to go!
After everything is approved, the big green button is pushed and the machines start to move into action to make your new wallpaper.

Full guides are available by clicking here. If you’re a competent DIYer then it should be no issue, if not we would recommend asking a professional to hang the wallpaper for you.
Always lay the product out when received – not only to check for damage or discrepancy but to line it up and work out what goes where. When you feel comfortable that everything is as it should be, hang the paper using a ready mixed paste-the-wall wallpaper paste.

Feature Tiles

Our printed glass wall tiles are supplied in the new and innovative size of 500 x 200mm, chosen because if you’re looking to add a feature to your tiled wall, this is a size we think really creates an impact. The tiles use smooth crystal clear toughened glass with fully polished edges; patterns are printed on the rear with a white seal added.
Being viewed through the glass, the prints look fantastic - like mini windows into a colourful contemporary world.
As we use toughened/tempered glass, they cannot be cut or trimmed - if you need a different size, just let us know before ordering.

Our glass tiles don’t need any special treatment, - we recommend using mirror adhesive / neutral solvent-free silicone adhesive to stick in to place and normal grout once dried and in position. Apart from that, add them wherever you want and stand back to enjoy!

Splashbacks

Using specially selected pieces of 6mm crystal clear glass with highly polished edges, our range of splashbacks are sent out ready to be installed by you or your fitter. To order, you simply pick a pattern, select your required size and wait for your glass goodness to arrive! We currently manufacture, print and ship your splashback in around two weeks and we'll send securely packaged to prevent damage.
All our splashbacks are supplied with a foil backing to keep everything tip-top - this foil backing is not to be removed and as we use toughened/tempered glass, they cannot be cut or trimmed - if you need a different size, just let us know before ordering.

Being 6mm thick and toughened to British & European Standards, our splashbacks can be used behind any gas, electric or Aga style oven. They are incredibly robust, brilliantly durable and will not fade or discolour.

The glass can be wiped down with any regular household window cleaner or warm soapy water. Avoid using any degreaser type products as these can leave smudge and smear marks across the glass.
