Have Unique Period Flooring Without The Hassle!
Oh, the Victorians.
They provided us with so much, from Darwinian theory to the humble bicycle, postage stamps right through to the world’s first underground railway (now known as the Tube, used by millions and complained about by each one of them!).
Another iconic thing to come out of the Victorian era is their fantastic flooring, which has remained popular throughout the last 120 years, surviving the past four monarchs and withstanding every interior design trend you can think of.
Characterised by lots of tiles arranged in intricate patterns, often featuring bright colours, original tiled period flooring is such a sought- after feature that having it in your house can add a pretty penny to its price tag – as well as garnering envy from friends and neighbours.
I want period flooring, but I don’t know how to get it…
Not everyone is blessed with original heritage flooring in their home.
Maybe you’ve bought a new-build, your house is from a different era, or the past owners have removed it in order to “neutralise” the home (a big no-no in our books!).
Fear not, if you aren’t lucky enough to have Victorian flooring in your home, getting the look isn’t as hard as you might think.
You don’t have to spend hours sourcing individual tiles and wondering how to get them to fit together nicely because *drum roll* replica period vinyl flooring exists!
We are such big fans of the floors that were favoured by Queen Victoria and co, that we have created a growing range of designs that replicate them.
Making the design as unique as your home
During the Victorian era, the UK population soared from a humble 13.9 million to over 32.5 million.
It now sits at well over 60 million, but despite there being so many of us, every one of us is different in our own special way.
With this in mind, it makes sense that you’ll want your home to be as unique as you are.
Each of our designs, whether it’s a period flooring replica or a contemporary pattern, is fully customisable.
Match it to your newly-painted walls, your favourite colour, or the statement sofa you just had to buy (despite everyone telling you it wouldn’t match anything!).
We can match colours based on HEX codes, Pantones or paint swatches, and get close enough to photographs… we’ve even had people send in scraps of clothing for us to use as a reference before!
[We can match your design to any colour… even the tone of your dog’s collar (or bow tie!)]
We love it when you want to customise your flooring…
You know that feeling when you have a strong idea of what you want in your head, but you cannot make it appear in real life?
Whether it’s a drawing that doesn’t look quite right, or an interior design that ends up looking a tad wonky because the colours are slightly off, it is truly disappointing.
That’s why we love it when people want to change our designs.
Yes, we spent hours designing them, and yes, we do have a wide selection to choose from.
But when people want to change the designs, rather than sighing, rubbing our foreheads and rolling our eyes, we feel pleased because we know someone’s going to get a new floor that they absolutely love, right down to the final detail.
Perfectly matching colours are the difference between a home looking nice and one that looks totally amazing, and we want everyone to enjoy spending time in their ultra-special space.

Vinyl flooring is a great choice for kitchens and bathrooms due to its easy-to-clean, easy-to-install properties.
The wealthy Victorians had staff to help clean their pristine tiles, but vinyl will come up looking simply afternoonified with a bit of soap and water – lovely stuff!
If you are interested in vinyl flooring whether heritage or highly modern, we’re more than happy to help.
Drop us a message and we’ll do all we can to make sure you get your perfect floor.
